I have lived at Capitol Commons for the past 2 years. It has been a wonderful experience. I was attending Cooley Law School and Capitol Commons is by far the best apartments within walking distance. I assessed most of the apartments in the downtown area, before choosing, and I firmly believe Capitol Commons was the right choice. It is in a location that is quiet and conducive to studying. Many of the residents are also Cooley students and have a similar objective.

I find it incredible that some people gave negative reviews of Capitol Commons, but I am sure that is due more to the culture shock of living in a city's downtown area, and not anything Capitol Commons did per se. Lots of Cooley students previously lived in the protected sanctuary of their undergraduate dormitories. This is real-life living, in an urban setting. I know. I came from a rural area in the Upper Peninsula of MI and it took some time to get used to the city life.

Capitol Commons, as compared to the other apartments in the downtown area, provides the best-maintained, safest living accommodations. I found the staff very personable and they were always ready to address any issues I had. It seems more like a little family at Capitol Commons and I think I will miss the staff.

Also, the buildings are better maintained at Capitol Commons, as compared to the apartment building I lived in my first year at Cooley. I think their new maintenance supervisor is very dedicated and her team does a good job maintaining the structures.

I would strongly recommend Capitol Commons Apartments.
