During the beginning of my residence at Devonshire, I had very minor problems. Toward the end, however, I (along with all other occupants in my building) fell victim to an infestation of jungle-sized proportions. For a period of time we had problems with cockroaches, which we thought was taken care of. Instead, we came to find that roaches were the least of our problems when it became known that creatures known as "palmetto" bugs were in our homes. Imagine cockroach-like insects that are twice the size and can fly! Supposedly, they're only found in the southern states. Upon moving out in disgust, I left my apartment full of bug carcasses. Wouldn't you know it, they had the gall to refuse to refund my deposit. NOT RECOMMENDED UNLESS PREVIOUS RESIDENCES INCLUDE THE UNCHARTED FORESTS OF CREATION.

When I lived there, we had a TERRIBLE bug problem. My apartment, too, was left FULL of bug carcasses. It's filthy and disgusting at Devonshire. We also discovered black mold when we lived there. Our walls had softened so much that they began sinking in, behind it was covered in black mold. That was the last straw for me, I moved out right away, and continued paying on my lease even though the place was un-liveable. It's over priced for what you get, Tammany and Canal Club on Canal are WONDERFUL if you are looking to live in this area!
