Do yourself a favor- don't live here

My roommate and I moved in last August. Despite the fact that they'd said we would have new carpeting when we moved in an didn't, the place didn't seem so bad at first.
THEN...about 2 weeks after we moved in, people moved in above us with a full grown, badly trained black lab. From the day they moved in we had noise complaints which we filed on a weekly basis with management. The dog barks pretty much all day long, including late at night and early on the weekend (pretty infuriating when you want to sleep in).
First management told us after 3 complaints the dog would be evicted, not necessarily from other residents. THEN they told us that since we were the only residents complaining, it looked like we had a personal conflict with the neighbors. Um, HELLO'! The lease clearly states in its pet agreement that pets cannot disturb other residents. That's violation number one. Violation number two is that a labrador retriever, full grown, is easily 50 lbs...and the lease states that the weight limit is 35. I know for a fact that management does not follow this regulation as another resident in our building has two labs ( which we never hear b/c their owners actually took time to train them).
So after dealing with this for about 6 months we were elated to find out that since 3 residents from OTHER BUILDINGS across the courtyard had complained about the noise, the dog would be evicted. However, it has not been. It still barks annoyingly all day and night. And we can't get a straight answer from management. Absolutely worthless.
So if you value peace and quiet at all, do not rent here.
