Best place to live, hands down

After having lived in the dorms and DTN properties, finding the Hunt Club was like heaven. The apartments are relatively new, with clean and fully functioning fixtures needing virtually no maintenance. The property tends to be very quiet, despite the close proximity of the expressway. The cost is incredibly low for what you get, with $700 getting you two beds, two baths and square footage well over 1000, and another $37/month gets you a great washer and dryer set. Any issues I've had while living at the Hunt Club, few as they have been, have been taken care of promptly by a staff that remembers my name and seems to actually care, as opposed to the DTN properties that either had no answers, had no solutions, or just plain didn't care. I recommended this property to a friend of mine who is now living there and received a $250 check for the referral, so that's yet another perk to living there. I only used the pool once and it was very clean. A small qualm would be that the workout facility is tiny and puts you on full display of everyone else in the lobby while you're sweating away. One other point to note is that you have to be qualified to live here based on your income. I think you and your roommate(s) must make UNDER a certain amount to qualify. It isn't ghetto housing or anything, but I think they must get money from the government to provide housing to people who don't have high income. I had absolutely no problems with my neighbors and appreciated the tranquility of the community. If you're tired of management like DTN and want to live in a clean, spacious and inexpensive apartment complex, sign up for a pad at the Hunt Club. Just be sure you have a car or don't mind a ten minute walk to the bus stop (CATA #20)!
