Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2001
I had a really good apartment when I moved in back in the spring of 2000. I was just off Willoughby and had an apartment on the main floor facing the woods. It was AWESOME...the view..and I LOVED the L-shaped kitchen.
It wasn't all fun in games when I moved in, though. I specifically asked for a layout with that L-shaped kitchen and when I moved in, I got a handicapped layout that SO wasn't what I asked for. I ranted and raved and got what I wanted. They had NUMEROUS units available, so they did it REALLY quick-like for me (they knew I was livid!).
I only had a couple of instances of noise in the year that I was there...nothing that was a big deal..but I learned REALLY quick-like to NOT park in the carport. My specific one was on the side of the building AGAINST the woods. Yep. My car had an attempted B&E. Totally messed up my passenger door...but, realistically, apartment complexes are a magnet for that sort of thing.
I did come across earwigs every so often along the sliding door and in the bathroom, but AGAIN....I was up against the woods and even though I hated those things, it didn't surprise me.
I would've stayed and renewed my lease if they weren't going to start putting water meters in and charging for water!!! I don't know if they still do that today, but there was NO WAY I was going to do that on top of rent!
