I lived at Oak Park for several years. They are extremely polite and helpfull when you sign your lease, but once they've got you things change. I'm was on an automatic debit, that they charge my card, so my bills should always be paid on time. I'v often been over billed, rent taken out twice and was twice under billed which they then promptly sent me a nasty note. When I called to tell them their error there was no apology, just excuses. The times that I've gone in the office, I try never to go there, I've heard them leave extremely rude messages for tenants about various things. I've been promised things to renew my lease (like repaint my apartment, redo my carpet) but once I go to follow up there are a million excuses or no one will return my call. You have to speak to the manager about every complaint, but if you get a call from Meghan it would be a miracle.

There can be a level of human error involved with pulling the automatic payments for such a large community every month. When our residents renew their lease we do offer touch up paint or carpet cleaning. All you have to do is call the office and we schedule it with our contractors. It is not a requirement to speak with a manager about every complaint although we do require complaints to be in writing so we can document the complaint and follow up accordingly.
