Prudden Place

Expensive, Noisy, Unfriendly lease. The parking space is really an issue. You pay almost 1 grand a month and you cannot get decent parking spot. Most of the time we only could park two buildings away from ours. People that rent the car ports they still park on the free side so that they can save extra space for visitors since there is not enough parking space. Maybe you won't mind walking, but during the winter it really makes a difference. The apartments are nice, specially the lofts on the 3rd floor with really high ceilings but I think it is not worth what you pay for. Between the deposit, application fee and cleaning fee and some other fees you will pay around 1200 dlls just to move in and they make it in such a way that just a small percentage is actually deposit so that by the time you move out they will give you around 200 bucks if you are lucky, coz they will figure out a way of charging extra costs for "dirty" carpet and so on. Also if you decide to lease here, it is not an option to break a lease, unless you really enjoy paying extra costs and fees, that was the main reason we decided to move out. Breaking a lease it was over 6000 dlls since our apartment was on "special" (150 dlls less) so if you break the lease you need to pay all the months due plus the difference of you special rate and the normal rate. So in our case if we wanted to break the lease after six months then we owed 6 months rent 5400 plus 900(for the special rate diff) = 6300 just to break a lease!!!!....these guys think they are in NYC. Hot water won't last more than 30 min in row. Police station is too close that you will hear all the sirens in the middle of the night...at least twice a week. The train tracks..just too close!!! you will hear and feel the train ( two times during the middle of your sleep...every day)...so if you are considering Prudden Place....I will suggest to really really think about it, it is not as great as it looks.
