I loved living at Runaway Bay until one day I came home and found my door to be unlocked but closed and when I entered found my labtop and other computer equipment were missing. Someone with a key had entered and stole my things. My assumption is it was maintenance since I have never given a key to anyone and the locks were changed before I moved in. Plus the person who broke in did not go in any other rooms so I assume they had been there before and knew exactly what they were lookign for. I filed a police report and when I asked management to look into the situation or to see who maybe had access to my building that day they gave me nothing. To this day I still have not been contacted about the breakin or offered any help in find out who broke in. Before this I really enjoyed living here, it is a great community and the people were all nice. Apartments are great, a bit expensive but worth the nice community and ammenities offered.

The breakin has frustrated me because of the lack of help from management to help me figure out who broke in. My privacy was invaded and it upsets me that any one of the maintenance people can walk in and take what they want without being accounted for. I would be cautious about this complex, but besides this occurance, I have enjoyed living here.

I am looking into moving here this fall and was shocked to hear about a break-in, worse if this was an actual employee, someone that you trust to enter you home for maintenance. I am compelled to ask the current manager about this incident and why is has not been resolved.

It's funny that someone would break in just to take your laptop. You think you may have just wanted a new computer adn didn't want to pay for it? I know the ppl at your apartment complex and I think it is rude to post such fabrications. You should be ashamed of your self.
