I grew up in Lansing, and these are the nicest apartments I know of (possibly excluding some closer to East Lansing geared towards students). The maintenance guys were super nice, and so was the office staff. Now that I am in a poorly maintained complex I know what I took for granted there! I never heard my neighbors, and always felt completely safe there. If I ever move back to Lansing I will move back into Westbury Lake.
