Started out good...

I was really drawn to Woodland Lakes because they have a great rent special and it seemed like something worth trying. I never really had a problem with maintenance coming out when needed or the grounds looking bad. Sometimes though, in the winter, they wouldn't be as on top of the snow plowing as desired.
The fitness center is nice, as well as the computer lab (if there s paper).
The walls are pretty thin though and you can hear a lot of what your neighbors are doing. I was told when moving in that there were quiet hours that MUST be respected from 10pm to 7am. I was enticed by this as I need to study and have no problem taking my loudness elsewhere. Unfortunately, my neighbors liked to listen to loud music at all hours and management could have cared less.

I agree with you 100%. It's ridiculous how thin the walls are and how management doesn't really seem to care. Hope things get better for you.

Not exactly sure what you think management can do. It is extremely difficult to evict someone for noise violations. Short of evicting someone, there isn't anything they can do. grow up

Actually I got out of my lease there for the same problem. There IS something management can do...they just choose not to. Call the police, write management, document your ongoing problem, and then tell them they are in violation of their own lease.

But WHAT can management do? If you got out of your lease, it sounds like they weren't able to do something.

Management CAN do something! They can send the resident with the noise issues a noise complaint and in the residents lease and rules and regulations it is stated if they get more then 3 noise complaints they will be evicted! So YES management can do something but they choose not too because they do not want to loose the rent! I lived there too and had the same problems they are pretty paper boxes!!!

If you want complete silence, you should get a house in the country. Any apartment you live in is going to have noise, it comes with the territory.

Noise comes with the territory, but Woodland Lakes is the worst in my 13 years renting. And I even lived on the upper floor. They must not have insulated very well on shared walls because I could hear neighbors conversations and they were not being loud. Where I live now has a foot of concrete between every floor and I've never heard my neighbors, so not all apartments are created equal. Especially true for Woodland man-made Lakes.
