My wife and I (and our dog) have been at Apple Ridge for 10 months. We are happy here and have had no major problems. The apartments themselves have been recently updated - fair carpet etc. The refrigerator, microwave, and stove were brand new when we moved in. I don't know about the rest of the complex, but ours is very quiet. We have nice neighbors and feel very safe, even walking around outside at night. The sidewalks were pretty rough when we walked in, but they fixed many of them right after we moved in. There is easy access to the laundry room (inside each building). Maintenance is friendly and prompt.
I do have a few complaints. In the winter, they are pretty slow to plow and salt the parking lot. The common areas in the apartments could definitely use remodeling - the carpet is old and the wallpaper is pealing. It is difficult to control the heat in the winter, and the apartments are not metered individually so the gas bill is based on a ratio system and you don't have any control of your bill.
No place is perfect... Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and I would definitely recommend Apple Ridge.
