For the past year and eight months my family and I have been living in a VERY uncomfortable situation. There is a Pit bull dog that lives in our complex with his/her owners that we've on seen on a leash maybe twice since we've been here. We have 2 small children & we don't feel safe at all. On August the 5th of this year I was walking to my building when I thought I heard someone's keys rattling. As I turned around to say "Hello" to this individual I see the dog running towards me. At this point I'm running to my building like a wild woman scared out of my mind. Just when I thought the dog was getting closer I hear someone call the dog's name & the dog turns around. Now if this same situation would have happened & my children were around I'd be in a WHOLE lot of legal trouble. Point being this is getting a bit redundant. This is just the 4th situation we've had with this dog. My 4yr old isn't even allowed to play out in the courtyard because of this dog. Try explaining that to a child that young. It's not fair to him & it's not fair to us to live in these conditions. I do understand that the previous manager gave the"okay" for the dog to live here at Deerfield Woods. But I don't believe he/she was aware of the owners NOT having their dog on a leash. Pit bulls are at the top of the "Vicious dog" list and in the past have attacked & killed children & adults. I'd hate for this to happen to my family or any other family.

Above is the letter that I've emailed SEVERAL times to Beacon Mgt & no one has responded yet.

On top of that there's a leak coming from upstairs that has been leaking on/off for the past month. No one has come to paint the wet spots in our ceiling or replace the carpet in our apartment. Since we've been here I believe there have been 4 managers. What does that tell you. Our rent has gone up twice in lest than 2yrs also. Don't move here you will regret it!!!!

I also am a resident of the complex, only since May. My fiance and I CAN'T WAIT to move out...already. We were told they included water in our rent and they don't. We have had bugs in our apartment. We also experienced the pit bull issue but coming after our Chihuahua mix. If we didn't have to pay an ungodly amount to terminate our lease we would have been the first month of being here. The management also doesn't comply to the residents needs to make them happy.
