THE WORST APARTMENT I'VE EVER HAD!!!

From: MrSaturnValley
Date posted: 8/4/2009
Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009

This has been the worst apartment I have EVER lived in! The hallways are filthy, my neighbors were loud, rude, dirty, and disrespectful. The light at the end of my hallway didn't work for the first 6 months I lived here, and after it was finally repaired, the lights didn't start coming on until 9:45pm! That means that the end of the windowless hallway where my apartment door was remained too dark to see starting around 6:00pm! There's rarely enough hot water (as the old woman downstairs decides to over-water the sad little plants out front, even on days when it rains), the 3 person family next door lives in a one bedroom apartment and lets their 8 year old daughter stay up WAY too late stomping around, and the MANY, MANY kids in the neighborhood can be heard shouting at all hours of the night even with the windows closed. Every day since the summer began, it has been nearly impossible to drive down the parking lot at night, as every kid in the complex is out blocking the flow of traffic, and several times I have been harassed by these delinquents. My car has even been vandalized! In the one year I've been here, I've had to have the hot water adjusted twice, the towel rack repaired, the front door lock repaired, the stove looked at, the tub faucet looked at, the bedroom door repaired, as well as several other things. Our toilet still doesn't work properly. The maintenance staff talks to you like they don't know what the hell you're talking about, and the office staff makes you feel like you're wasting their time. Twenty days before Christmas, we recieved a notice that the building needed to be sprayed for bugs (our unit didn't have any, but the filthy neighbors' did), and so we had to take time off work to pack up our whole lives and move everything (EVERYTHING) in the house, and they didn't even end up spraying!!!

It may be cheap rent, and it may be close to a lot of things, but it is the trashiest, dirtiest place I have ever lived, and I will be moving out the day my lease ends! I'm going to Village Park of Rochester Hills. For $100 more, they will get you a 2 bedroom as well as a pool, clubhouse, fitness center, and more! I can not wait to move! DON'T LIVE HERE!
