Save yourself the aggravation - DON'T DO IT!!

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
The first time I rented here c/o Home Properties was from July 2001 - August 2002. Never had any problems. From August 2002 to now it has been one headache after another. Not only does Home properties not care about it's good tenants, it does not matter to them if others are destructive, habitually loud, or even criminals. They don't care as long as they get there money. My bathroom ceiling fell in, I had occupants that lived above me harrass me until they were eventually kicked out, I have occupants across the hall who are equally as distruptive. Management devulged personal information to maintance, who I might add are a bunch of idiots as well. It took them 3 weeks to fix a window screen that still is hanging improperly. I lost my cat because mainteance did not pay attention to it when they were making repair. I have been screwed out another apartment because they misrepresented there payment policy when they say there is a grace period, there is. You don't get a late fee until after the fifth but you better believe they marked it down late. I did not have that in July 2001''' Why all of sudden now. To make matters worse I tried to transfer to another Home Properites community and they did not allow it because of my rental history. But 2 days before (when I gave my new security deposit) they had no problems with it. Hmmm something fishy do you think''' I think they will a little pissed off when I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I would hate to see this happen to someone else, and please don't rent anything via Home Properties if you can help it. They care about money only, not keeping customers satified and happy.
