I have just moved here. I have come to realize that the maintenance people come out the same day which is awesome. I have never experienced that before. The property is what you pay for. I'm paying under 600 dollars a month for a two bedroom and the unit looks good. I don't have solid oak cabinets but i do have wood cabinets which is better then press board cabinets, thank goodness! We have a pool, clubhouse, and a small storage area. The staff is new and so far responsive and organized. General pleasant again I think i like this property so much because of awesome maintenance staff. My one big complaint is my noise neighbor, she is constantly talking to me and asking me about other neighbors. There is also only one washer and dryer in the basement and apparently no one ever likes to take out there clothers, hours and hours pass by. I'm really getting feed up with it.

Actually no I'm not, I'm actually not a bitter person like everyone else that goes on this site. I just get tired of all my friends going on this thing and thinking I live in the ghetto when I don't!

Hey, I just moved here about three weeks ago and so far so good. I haven't had any problems, my neighbor are all quite. I was afraid to move here because I heard it was the ghetto but it's not and I'm pleased. It's nothing like the apartment I moved from but it's two hundred and fifty dollars cheaper. All in all I'd recommend this place!!

Just wait...There are several drug dealers on site. Sorry to tell you, but you ARE living in the ghetto. Keep your eyes peeled for the drug busts. When you hear guns firing, duck down!

I have live in Gale Gardens for three years and have never felt more safe. FYI melvindale police DOES'NT play (DRUGS) they are every where. I am sure YOU have THEM where you LIVE GET OVER YOURSELF. I highly recommend these apartments. S>A>M

I agree with the last comment just posted. Melvindale is a 2 mile by 2 mile town. Drug dealers wouldn't have a chance. I see the cops drive through here everyday! I actually stopped him once and asked why. Office Hojando or wahtever told me that they just do because its a 2 x 2 city.... he even does door to door knocking on doors but we have locked enterances so he can't here. People that are upset about gale gardens need to get some prozac and get over themselves.
