If you have a family, I wouldn't suggest you move here. If you are a college student, come right in.

As far as parking, we didn't have assigned parking spots, so often times when I would get home I would have to park across the lot in front of a different building.

The noise level is terrible, every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, even Sunday night, the college students are aving a party. The walls are paper thin and you can here everything: neighbors beating on girlfriends, and yor neighbors having sex.

The Woodlands didn't have curb appeal what so ever. You look out of your balcony window and see dumpsters or broken bottles. They try and plant flowers every year, but they don't keep them up. The weeds grow taller than the flowers. The grass on the outside is dying and yellow and brown if you have any at all.

As far as safety goes, my last year at Northwood University, a student was murdered (stabbed to death) by her boyfriend in the Woodlands. Oh yeah, I almost forgot go on Michigan.gov and view the sex offender registry, you'll be convinced then!

Upon moving in, they charge you a carpet and blind fee. I had mix-matched blinds and cigarette burns, and Kool-aid stains in the "new" carpet I was supposed to receive. My closet fell apart and was always off line.

Maintenence would enter your apartment without permission with wet and dirty boots on leaving your carpet satined. I remember on one occasion, they painted my balcony, without my knowledge and my plants and pots were covered with brown paint. The leasing staff told me to bring my receipts and they will reinburse me. Who the F**k keeps receipts for a flower pots they purchased several years earlier'

For about 3 months, I had a HUGE HUGE Moth problem. I had to throw away my food several times, spend $100 on tupperware and had my apartment treated over 5 times. First, they blamed it on the grocery store several time and finally they admitted the moths were coming from another residnet. How gross'

Also, they keep the same locks on the doors. That's B.S. about they change the locks after each resident. Please, be very careful. I've had a bike stolen from me off my balcony. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. This is the GHETTO or the PROJECTS of Midland County.

My yr. lease is coming to an end this month and I have to admit I feel you on every problem you've had. The office staff is great as long as you don't ask for anything. The maintenance men came into my apt while I wasn't home and they broke the child safety alarm I had on the entrance door to keep my 4 yr old from escaping. I called the office and they did nothing as usual. My carpet was not new when I moved in but it wasn't stained either. A few weeks after moving in strange black spots started showing up everywhere. I didn't have moths but I did have a wide variety of mice and rats for about a month and im talking RATS!!! They had an exterminator come in and all the did was put a sticky thing under my sink. wow. Parties yeah music so loud it knocks pictures off my walls. Not a family welcome place. Needless to say we won't be signing a new lease. 475 for two bed heat and water included is a great deal but...is it worth it? and there is no where for kids to play outside at all. Not that I would want my kid playing with any of those foul mouthed little basterds that play on the bike rack or in the parking lot anyway.
