Bad Choice on my part

This apartment is the worst! On the day that we (my boyfriend & I) signed the lease and moved in there were about 5 MAJOR things that were wrong with the apartment, that we saw right away. LARGE holes in the walls, broken closet rods, the doorwall lock not working, etc. The office staff promised they would be fixed on the next working day (Monday), first thing in the morning. Well they didn t, nor did they fix them on Tuesday, so Wednesday my bf had to take the morning off of work in order to go in and see what was going on. Finally they came by later that day and fixed them, along with the 3 pg long list I made of the other problems that we found over those few days. But even after all this, this is still a awful apartment, kids run around yelling at all times of the day, dogs are constantly barking, the apartment is ALWAYS cold and drafty, the parking is not very lit and there are always cars running, but not in the spaces in the parking lot, so it is kind of creepy. They say there is covered parking, but there is one covered parking unit, which has about 7-10 spaces, for every 60 or so apartments and the are not even close to where most of the apartments are located. If I would have know about these problems I would have never moved in here.. I am telling all my friends who are looking for a place to look somewhere else, don t waste your money on a place you ll hate. I can t wait until our lease is up.
UPDATE: I could add more stories of what went on here between the time I wrote the original review and the time we moved out, but it would end up being a book when I was done. So I'll just tell one. We ended up breaking our lease early because of black mold that was found in the storage closet. The management hired someone to come in and inspect the closet. I think they figured he would say it's not a issue and they would be free and clear, but and he left a notice saying that it was black mold. When we informed the management about this, they told us we were lying. However we had the note from the inspector and pictures I took of the wall. When we told them we were breaking the lease, they said ok, but you will owe us the all the other months rent plus the fee for breaking lease early. We said no and as soon as I told them they would hear from our lawyer they changed their tune. We didn't pay anything to break the lease and we got our deposit back. I wish I never had lived there!

what apartment are you in. We are currently going through the same issue. They won't hire someone to come in and inspect. We have had a leak for over 6 months and since we moved into this apartment both of my boys have had a reaccuring cough.
I am getting ready to post a rating on here too. I just seen this and thought I would ask.
