Seriously. It seems like the only people who comment on here are bitching about it. What about the other 99% of the people who live in Park Place and love it (like me)' My wife and I moved in here 7 months ago and have not regretted it for one second. The landscaping is beautiful, the neighbors are friendly, and every time I needed something fixed it got done promptly. I even flagged down a mechanic driving the golf cart once and he came over right that second to fix something. The front office staff is friendly and willing to assist. Our floor plan is great and everything was clean as a whistle when we moved in. Try to be realistic about your expectations though: this IS an apartment, and not everything is perfect. I checked out all the othe apartments within 10 minutes of Park Place and found it to be the most favorable for what we were looking for (2 bed, 2 bath, private entry).

My best guess is that everyone who complains is either a) not paying rent on time or b) contributing to their negative experience in some other way. I HIGHLY recommend these apartments.

By the way, not that I really care what you think, but I don't work for Park Place. I live in building 16 right in front of the clubhouse. And to the comment about married apartment living - are you really that narrow-minded to think that married people can't live in apartments' Not everyone can afford a $600,000 Northville house and not every expects to be living here in 2 years anyway.

Or maybe I'm complaining because everytime my neighbor makes curry my apartment smells so bad that I have to leave for a couple of hours. Another neighbor's TV is so loud that I can clearly hear what she is watching and can follow along on my TV with the volume off. Oh yeah, or maybe I'm just weirded out about my other neighbor who got robbed after someone kicked in their front door a few months ago. No, it must be the guy in my building that was found dead last summer after ODing. Yeah, I see how you could think I was contributing to those negative experiences.

Yes sir, that best guess of yours was pretty brilliant! Ignorance is bliss... right?

What an ass! I understand that this reviewer is probably an employee of Park Place, but writing fake reviews that attack people who share their horror stories about this place is just wrong.

Anyone who is married and still living in an apt sucks anyways...

This review was posted in March of 2007, but got moved to March of 2008; however, comments that were posted by others as a response stayed with it showing that it's old. Hmmm....not a real tenant.

Actually, I'm the one who wrote the original review. I lived in #1603. My name is Adam and I still live in Northville... just not in an apartment anymore. I feel like the responses I got from my review are slightly skewed - I should clarify that I lived in a building with a private entry. Building 16, right in front of the clubhouse. We had an elderly couple living next door and a single woman above us. So our experience went well because it was quiet and our neighbors are friendly. I can't speak for those of you who lived in the common entry buildings... but we did have some close friends who lived in one and they like it. Are the comments posted not what you would expect living in ANY apartment though? C'mon.. at least I didn't have my car stolen or apartment broken into. More than I can say for some of my past residences when I was younger. For an apartment, we thought it was great.. I still recommend that place to friends of ours who are moving to Northville or married couples just starting out. Go Northville... good place to live.

I'm considering moving - as the new neighbors are looking like lower-and-lower class people. I'm not certain if PPA is still doing background checks, but if they are - I don't know how these people get in! As for the person whose apartment got broken in to after her door got kicked in - do your homework. She set it up and had it done to her. I know this from first hand info. I have lived here over 3 years and up until last week I have been SO happy - I was telling friends that I don't care how bad the housing market gets (ie. prime buying opportunity for a new purchase) I'm staying for at least another 5 years. Now - I'm not so sure. Last night I came home and a guy was riding his bike and smoking a joint. SERIOUSLY!?!? And this morning there was a young woman just wandering near my apartment - there was no walking trail, and I really don't know where she came from. I really hope that PPA steps it up and starts having quality tenants again. This afternoon I'm going to check out another complex - I am seriously considering breaking my lease.
