So, I have finally had enough with Park Place Apartments. My lease has expired and I am out.

I just found this site and thought that I would give an exit review. I will keep in mind some of the other reviews that I have read here today.

When I first signed my lease, the staff was very helpful. They first showed me a model apt. It was incredible looking. Im a smart person though and requested to see the apartment that I would be renting. When I viewed it, it was not yet cleaned. The place was a mess and the carpets were dirty. I was told that it would be brand new by the time I moved in. Mistake one was taking their word. When I moved in, the carpets were dirty, the windows were dirty and two of the screens were ripped. I had no place else to go seeing as the moving van was packed and my keys were turned in to the other apt I had just left. Oh well, I cleaned the place up and had maintenance rescrean my windows.

The walls are paper thin. I could hear, smell and feel everything that my neighbors did. Not cool. I always felt like I was walking on eggshells if I had to do something late at night. Not a very homely feeling.

BUGS EVERYWHERE. Everyday in the spring/summer/fall I had to go thru and kill a bunch of bugs. Spiders in crazy amounts, worms all over the sidewalk and those black flying things got in everywhere. Maintenance said they came out and sprayed for bugs, but it didnt help. Not only were they inside, they were also all over my patio on the outside. Not good...

The parking spaces are way too close together in the covered spots. I have a midsized car and didnt have enough room to open my door even half way when parked there. Otherwise, if you use the other parking, good luck. Not enough spots.

I knew before I signed that the dumpster was just a single centrally located compacter and I was happy with that. But this system only works when it is actually EMPTIED ontime. It was always overflowing with trash and I could smell the trash on the warm summer evenings even though I was not located right next to it.

I tried the pool a few times. 1st time I went down to it, it was closed for maintenance. The next time I went in, I hurt my foot because the entire floor of the pool was cracking and there were huge chunks of plaster just skooting across the bottom. The hot tub never worked and there is a big problem with non-residents in the pool.

Oh yea, there is also a rat problem. Have fun with that one. Their fix to the problem was a single mouse trap. Nice...

Half of the lights dont work that line the street, and the grounds are not kept up well at all. I had to manually trim my bushes out in front of my door because they got so bad that I couldnt get thru them.

All in all, you can get much better for cheaper in the area. I thought I wouldnt have to worry about these things moving into Northville. I was wrong. Check out some other apartments in the area. You shouldnt have a problem finding another place for cheaper. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
