I hate to say this, but I would not recommend these apartments. There has been a lot of apartments in my area moving out over the past 6 months. No one moving back in either. I'm seeing more shady characters walking around and shady looking cars parked in the parking lots. For these places being built in 1992 they are some of the worst construction and insulation I've ever lived in. I can't get over what they charge for rent with how these places were built and NOT standing up. Counter tops and cupboards coming unglued. Bathrooms just a mess with rusty pipes and all. There is absolutely NO insulation. I can hear my neighbors down below talking in their bedroom at night. You can hear the phone ringing in their apartment. You get to hear their TV programs without the benefit of watching them as you try to fall asleep. Same with the neighbor next door to me. I have heard her TV every single day since moving in. It's really great when she plays her surround sound for her movies on the weekends. Makes it very aggravating when you are trying to sleep or read a book in your room or even trying to watch your own tv program. Management was no help with regard to noise/insulation issues. Along the lines of the lack of insulation means you pay high utilities because all the air is just flying in and out of these apartments. You can feel the cold air constantly in the winter. The balconies are absolutely terrifying here. I'm afraid to sit out on mine. The wood is coming apart and is loose. Not to mention the splinters. There is no overhang or covering helping to protect any of the balconies so they've just been exposed to the elements all these years without being properly taken care of. I'm afraid all of these are going to need some major overhauling. Hopefully they will do it before someone gets seriously injured or killed when one collapses. Snow shoveling is some of the worst I've ever seen. The company comes through the lots once and that is it. If there are ton of cars still parked in the lot, too bad, they don't come back so then none of the spots are ever cleared. All they do is drive the truck/plow down the middle of the lot to make a path and that is it. You get a nice big block/ridge along the carports so you get to constantly drive over that. It's great when it turns to solid ice. They do nothing for the carports.

If I had to pick one reason for leaving and to warn potential renters about is the insulation/noise. I know you can expect to hear some things in community living. You expect the occasional party, loud music, fight, maybe even a kid or a dog, but I've certainly lived in other apartments where I could not hear people talking in their bed at night or their phone ringing or their TV every day. For these places not being that old, I expected much better. For the rent they charge, I expected much better. There are much better insulated apartments out there. I visited this apartment complex as a potential renter. The community room is impressive. So, I was real excited to see what the apartments looked like. The apartment layout was horrific considering how recent the construction. The larger two bedroom had this tackey mirror with lighted console. It was an eyesore and seemed totally out of place. Both one and two bedrooms had the tackey Mel's diner slot that you hand food through. Come on now, what was the architect thinking. It just did not measure up. I beat a hasty retreat outa there.
