The good responses may be posted by the management, which I suspect. I also have lived in Fountain Park Novi for a few years (the dates are not correct as the date indicator was not working when I did the review), and although the maintenance is generally very responsive and polite, the apts. are old and not very well kept up at all. Bricks fall off the walls outside and dead bushes are not replaced. Shutters not painted. Insides are worn and holes not patched, but painted over, etc. Many people do not go to the pool because rowdy kids take it over. They spring higher rent raises on tenants and are not always sensitive to tenant needs, although are helpful on some issues. The apt. is okay and I like the layout, but I would also move out if I were able to right now. The rent is too high for the condition of the apt. My apt. was also not very clean when I moved in, although not at all like the one mentioned above. Very shoddy workmanship. I have had several issues with the shoddy workmanship in the past. I will say that the maintenance people here now are always polite and respectful and do a decent job on most things. The one excellent part is that maintenance comes out immediately when called.

I was told on move-in things that have not panned out. In the past, the manager has taken care of any complaints I have had, but if they were voted Apartment Community of the Year, I would sure like to know who they knew. It is not an overall bad place, and does have good storage, but beware of the financial issues, and make SURE you read your lease carefully. They have severe penalties for breaking it. Watch out for the high utility bills, esp. heating. It is very drafty and the appliances are quite old, although in decent working condition. I have tried to be very fair in this review. It was difficult to answer the questions below as many times they were in-between ratings. Office staff needs improvement. The manager seems good. Maintenance are helpful and nice and polite
