Have lived in dozens of apartments, all over the country, and HC is average or even SLIGHTLY better than average.
Maintenance is prompt and generally ok, but there is a bug problem, especially spiders and centepedes. Also, an occasional mouse. Ground floor apts tend to get more of such things, so we just deal with it ourselves.
Canopy parking is a bit helter-skelter, some people will just park under the first one they see, but even if yours is open, the assigned canopy may be far from your front door and worthless in the winter if you have to trudge a hundred yards through the snow to get to your car - not something to look forward to if you leave for work in the evening. Management is thorough enough but will never win a Miss Congeniality contest. Walls are a bit thin and it sounds like Niagra Falls when upstairs flushes the toilet.
The grounds can get a bit trashy and refuse service should be scheduled a bit more often. Security not the best, could use a bit more lighting and the doors don't have double locks.
Generally, it's just an "ok" place to live. Recommend, but not highly.
