We moved here blindly from Las Vegas, as this was in the area my husband was going to be working and took dogs over 25 lbs. Came in, he didn't know it was next to train tracks until we already had keys in hand.

The complex is a joke. They've updated the front building, as well as the apartments they have by the office to 'show' you how great it is here. Look around the rest of the apartments, it's a joke. Our walls are paper thin, we won't even get into what I hear from the people living IN their basement next door, the neighbor on the other side of me had literally 17 cats, and 2 dogs, and I'd called and complained, they never did ANYTHING until she moved out.....this is now why they insist on going to go do a lookover in apartments now randomly. (either for that or because the company seems to keep getting new management, probably keeps getting bought out)

We have had bees over our door in the wall for at least two years now, as well as our neighbor. They come in somehow, and when I open the front door, they're between the screen and main door. Have been called out NUMEROUS times. Doesn't help. Add to it, the constant notes regarding people parking in the wrong carport spots, the dog feces everywhere, constant police being called out weekly, AND people speeding down the street and not paying attention to the STOP sign at the cross walk for the school next to the complex. Yes...you're behind a school....so lots of kids here. As well as morons who can't seem to see that there is a sign that says on the wall to the school NO DOGS ALLOWED, yet let their dogs go poop over there too. GENIUS. (that's more for the tenants being morons though vs the complex)

Management now is ok. I've called OVER 3 months now to get the sealer for my fridge to be fixed and a new crisper drawer. They came to fix the seal around the fridge....said the door wasn't straight, and put the new seal on. So not only does the seal STILL not stick, I can see the light in the fridge is still on through the gap at the top where the door should be closing.

They take multiple calls as well as trips to get resolutions solved. PLUS they're so cheap now, they don't do the breakfasts or monthly activities, and can't even seem to afford to be able to put envelopes in the rent statements!

Also, had called because the tub seems to leak into the bathroom downstairs in the door frame which made my doorway get swollen and not let the door close all the way. They sanded down the door so we could close it, but the shower above still occasionally leaks. (there's also mold growing on the ceiling!) I've also had to get my oven replaced...twice due to the age of one and it died. They sent me an even older one that was yellow colored, and ended up that after three weeks the broiler didn't work. Another week....I get I think the first one I had back!

And yes, those fun 4' tall weeds! Those are great, especially with kids trying to go through the front doors getting scratched up. If you call them on it, they don't spray, they just use a hedger and cut them down, which they come back up again and again. Either getting hit by the weeds at the door, the overgrown bushes next to the door, or the bees trying to get out the door or in the bushes that are overgrown in front of the door. Fun stuff!

OH! The window sills are rotting out, there's water damage or something from a worn down roof (I guess) NONE of the front doors or windows match, (our front door has had peeling paint forever) and our floor isn't even! It's creaky and there's about a 3" gap underneath the rug between where there probably is still laminate on the floor between the front door and kitchen. And Oh the horrible stench in the basement during certain times of the year from the sewer drain for the basement.

For the price, it's tolerable, especially with children who love the schools, or if you have larger pets (PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR PETS THOUGH!) Hopefully we'll be out of here this year though since we just lost ours.

I agree! I have been stuck here in lease and it is bad, I think that it is so bad that these people are letting this turn into the ghetto, we live in Novi for goodness sakes, I will be gone soon as my lease is almost up, but for others, I agree it is horrible here, stay away.
