(ORIGINAL POST - EARLY 2008)...I moved into Novi Ridge and the city of Novi after a divorce. The townhomes need a little paint on the outside, but other than that I have had no big complaints. Maintenance and management have always been accomodating and made attempts to correct issues. They have one of those generic signs on the road to the managment office, which says "Welcome Home". Novi Ridge feels like home. It's not stuffy or stuck up and feels very comfortable. Most of the neighbors are friendly. I have a few who I practically must force to speak, but for the most part everyone is nice and friendly. There are a ton of kids, so it's great for families (that like to interact). My children love it!! In comparison to other properties in the area, the rent is extremely economical. I don't think that any place is problem free. People are human and they behave as such.---
FASTFORWARD to TODAY (10/22) - This PLACE TOTALLY SUCKS! I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED BUT THE ENTIRE ELEMENT AND ATMOSPHERE OF THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED. IT IS NOT LIKE HOME ANYMORE. IT FEELS LIKE A TIRED RUN DOWN URBAN COMMUNITY. HOPEFULLY THE NEW OWNERS CAN KICK OUT THE BAD PEOPLE AND BRING IN NICE, RESPECTIVELY, WORKING CLASS PEOPLE WHO HAVE RESPECT FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR PROPERTY AND TEACH THE SAME VALUES TO THIER CHILDREN. I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE TO LIVE NOW.

Bull Crap! You must be a parent to the children that are running around ruining my sleep by hanging out all night long and drinking and breaking things, as well as threatening the few good children that live here.

Actually, I am not the parent of one of the thugs. I am a parent of one of the more respectful children. My children are in the house at a reasonable hour and I frown on those that disturb others in the wee hours of the night. I'm familiar with that group. FYI - My feelings about this place have drastically changed over the pass few months. It has gone completely and totally down hill. I don't know what's going on, but I don't like it! I'm looking for a new place to live!
