Well, I guess I?m not the first Leasing Consultant to write on this page.

I was with Ed Rose Companies (the ones who own Portsmouth) for about three years and I worked at five locations including: Portsmouth, Hillside, Springs, Bristol Square and and one of their Farmington Hills Location (which was the only decent one in the bunch).

Please do not move into this company. I left my work there because I was sick of the lack of integrity. At Portsmouth, you will receieve a 3rd level apartment at the second level price and one month free. Calculate that out and you will get the apartment for 555 for the first year. All of the old residents with that apartment are paying 800.00 for the SAME UNIT! They have lowered the price THAT MUCH becuase they are that desparate.

BTW, the Leasing Agents from nearly all of the properties do in fact write the good reviews on here. I know. At the time, I was one of them writing it about another location.

I have seen and heard of such terrible things inside Ed Rose. I would never ever recomend those apartments to anyone, not even someone I hated. You will lose you money, you will have a bad experience, you will not be happy. I left becuase I didn?t want to inflict this on anyone else. I recomend you don?t even bother visiting. P.S-here is a list of major Ed Rose apartment communities in the area of Portsmouth. BTW-one of them has possibly the largest crime and drug rate outside of Detroit.

1) Portmsouth-major problems are bad construction, leaking appliances, VERY rude management, bad turnover staff, potholes in the streets and a wonderfully cheap price. Don?t be fooled by that last one. There is a reason their apartments are so cheap in price.

2) Springs-major problems, again poor construction, constant problems with sewage backup, rude leasing staff, bad streets, and please don?t buy that whole "Voted Property of the Year 2002" . I was told, and then I noticed it myself, that it was voted "Property of the Year" for apartment communities over 15 years old and only their oldest units are that old so only they were judged. Their new units are crap but they still get the pretty title no matter what they are really like.

3) Hillside-here is what a previous resident told me: Her car was shot at, vandalized, her apartment was broken in to. Sounds great to me.

4) StoneRidge-they get the taco for rudest Leasing Staff, also their apartments are discusting. We used to get residents tranferring out of their to other Ed Rose properties all the time.

5) Bristol Square/Golden Gate- Golden Gate has a major crime problem. Drugs, and a couple of sexual offenders. If you just came out of Jackson Prison, you will feel right at home, if not, don?t bother, the apartments are VERY old, dilapitated and worn down. Bristol Square, well, I walked into the hallway and was met by two ladies and their pet Rotwielers and the dogs were relieving themsleves in the hallway. BTW_no dogs over 25 lbs are allowed.

6) Lastly I come to the Village. This place is beyound infamous. Every cop from here to the East Side has heard of the village. The prices are some of the lowest outside of Detroit and you feel as if you just stepped into the hood. Please do not be fooled by outside appearance. These are some CONFIRMED stories I have heard from WITHIN the company: Maintenence men have sex on resident?s furniture, drug busts, murders, rapists, 10 illegals living in a one bedroom, guys peeping in little kid?s windows. There was one crazy woman who aparently saved her used tampons, there were over a hundred left in the apartment when she moved out. Cockroaches, beetles, residents with snakes, air conditioning units out for the entire summer before maintence will fix them, burglaries, cars being stolen, have I said enough'

In conclusion, DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO GET SUCKED INTO AN ED ROSE. I personally have nothing to gain by this statement. I am not getting paid and will probably never meet you. I am saying this for your own good, whoever you are. STAY AWAY. I can promise you that you WILL UNDOUBTABLY regret it if you lease.

u r saying that because u r a disgruntled employee. u r probably angry that you got fired for your imcompetence and probably ur lies!! i have also worked for a couple different ed rose properties and yes, the village is horrible. what do u expect for that price? many of the other communities are great and have the numbers of happy tenants who dont bother to look at this crap to prove it. i have seen many people happy for many years and a b**ch like you, spouting because u think u can get back at ur former employer is just pathetic!!
