Portsmouth

 

I lived in Portsmouth for a year.

In that time I was totally unhappy with my experience.

First off, I had a pet.

I notified them of my pet and they asked me to register it.

After a 9 months they entered my apartment without permission and noticed my cat.

They fined me $900.

for having " an illegal cat ", they claim that I never registered the cat.

I tried to fix the problem and was lied to by the staff at the complex, they said it would all be taked care of.

This whole situation lasted a month.

When my year lease was up I decided to move, I gave my 30 day notice and was ready to leave.

Then I got a letter, an eviction letter.

They claimed that I was a bad tenant ( all because of their mistakes) and served me this letter.

I had allready goven my notice, but they still managed to but that on my record which makes it impossible to ever rent again.

After I did move out I was only given back 67.00 of my 625.00 deposit.

They claimed that I had " destroyed my apartment".

It was spotless.

Since I did not trust these people I took very detailed pictures before I moved out.

When they saw the picture they said " oh, we made a mistake".

If I had not taken those pics they would have ripped me off again.

The apartments themselves are nothing to write home about.

Typical mass built quality, thin walls, loose fixtures, uneven floors, walls.

All of the apartments on Pontiac Trail (Portsmouth, Springs, Hillside, StoneRidge, Village) are all owned by ED ROSE a large management company located in Farmington Hills.

I lived in another residence of that company prior, and similar problems exsisted.

I would not waste my time on these residences, unless you document every little thing you do!! For the money there are MUCH MUCH better homes in the area (Meadowood Park, Wixom and Grand River Ave.) The Portsmouth staff is unreliable and very rude.

I would NEVER recommend any of ED ROSE'S complex's to ANYONE!
