There are a million things wrong about this place. Let me list the few that bother me most.

First off I believe I have the best apartment in the complex. I am on the 3rd floor and have an end unit. We also back-up to the woods instead of overlooking other buildings. This is, of course, only because I chose this apartment.

Even though I have the best apartment in the place and my bedroom doesn??t back-up to another bedroom I still hear far too much noise from our neighbors. We only have one neighbor too! The little old lady below us doesn??t count.

The bugs and especially spiders are terrible. I??m a guy and have some severe arachnaphobia. If you hate spiders this place will be your nightmare. I kill at least a spider a day inside our apartment. I??m starting to wonder how many I eat each night!

The parking lots and streets are ridiculous. I could have sworn a meteor shower hit Portsmouth recently. Fact of the matter is they have too many apartments to manage and need to learn how to keep up with maintenance.

Lastly, the most important and annoying thing that happened to me?? The people and managers at the main office have ZERO people skills! I am a very responsible person and very good about paying rent. However, I forgot to pay for the month of May. The funny thing about this is that I didn??t realize or find out until Portsmouth sent me a letter on May 15th claiming legal action was being sought for non-payment of rent. What really ticked me off was the first sentence of the letter claiming ??We have sent you a late-payment notice on May 5th, 2006.?? This made me furious because I never got that letter. I ended up having to pay half the court fees (This took a lot of arguing and phone calls) and the maximum $40 late fee. They wouldn??t simply cancel the queue of the court date because ??They would have to do it for everyone then!?? (A date wasn??t even set yet, they just told their lawyer to set one.) The following days after this was settled I come home from work to see all my personal paperwork for court rolled up and stuffed between the doorknob and doorframe of my apartment. This made me FURIOUS, I wonder why I never got the first letter they claimed to of sent for late payment'''''''

Go elsewhere unless you enjoy bugs, spiders, loud obnoxious neighbors, and extremely crappy management!!!

I am in COMPLETE agreement with everything posted here! I was counting down the days to moving out. Watch your back on your security deposit! They'll try to take your $40 out of that, too!
