Renters beware!

This journey began almost 6 years ago.
As newly weds, my wife & I were so excited to live at Portsmouth.
Two years later, our nightmare began.
From infestations of silverfish to constant excessive noise (the walls were shaking to the point it felt like people were bowling upstairs - nothing done about it).
From constant rent hikes to paying $50 for at least 6-year-old paper-thin blinds.
From the hottest summer days with no A/C (broke down rusted units) to power randomly going in and out.
From being ticketed for parking in an undefined handicap spot ($150) to being told there is no limit to the number of cars per apartment unit, being told to go park at another apartment building.
From not being informed that the water source is well water, and now we find out that the water has some levels of arsenic to pile of dog and bird dung all over the parking lot.
After all this, they want us to clean the appliances, the walls, and the floors before we move out.
Which we thought they would have someone come in and professionally clean since we've been here almost 6 years, but we guess not.
In closing, we can go on and on...
just think twice before moving to this dump.
If you do consider this apartment complex (after all the warning signs) do not move to building 12!!!

While I agree that some of your complaints are legitimate, you should know that pretty much every apartment complex in the world expects you to clean up your apartment upon move-out (including appliances and floors, for sure) in order to receive your security deposit back. That's pretty standard.
