We had not experienced problems with repairs. Sometimes they had to be reminded more than once, but usually repairs were timely. We had experienced, however, the "bait and switch" technique and greed on the part of the staff/owners.



When we signed a lease, we reserved a lake view apartment which was to be available when we were ready to move in a couple of months. When we started arranging to install the telephone, we were suddenly told that the apartment we reserved was not available. With no time to look for a new place at that stage, we had no choice but to take it.



Also, be sure you pay your rent in time! One day I got home from work late, and since their office was closed, I stopped by the next morning with a check. The staff demanded a $20 penalty. Another time I just plain forgot. Only 3 days after the due date, there was an eviction notice stuck on my door. Plus a stiffer penalty. Rents went up every year like clock work. The owner/management is money hungry. Once they get you to sign a lease, you are at their mercy.
