The location of this apartment is good with parks, excellent shopping facilities and major freeways in the vicinity. The building quality is not impressive, windows often do not close tightly, A/C is very noisy, and if your neighbor is a heavy smoker or likes loud music, then you have to suffer a lot. Stenches came even through the power outlets. The quality of the appliances is also quite poor. (It's much quicker, more silent and gives better results when you do the dishwashing by hand...)
But the main complaint here is the management. When I applied for another appartment (due to the unsolved stench problems) they promised again and again that they will give me a call - they never did. When I finally moved to another unit, there was a key chaos, and it took two weeks before I could get the new mailbox keys. And then they even forgot to enter my cheque (for the rent) into their system, such that I received a notice to immediately pay the rent plus late fee. This notice was sent via standard mail. Since I was on vacation at that time I could reply to this only two weeks later, but at that time they already had sent me an "invitation" to court for eviction. Again with standard mail, 5 days before the date at court!
Everything is settled now, but there was hardly any apology.
The office staff has also changed a couple of times, and there is also a lot of moving in and moving out, which is not a good sign.
