I currently live at Saddle Creek, but am getting out ASAP after just one year.

Much can be said positively for the place, though. It is safe, spacious, in a great location, and full of perks like a fitness center, pool, in-until washer/dryer.

On the flip-side, I had a mother Raccoon lay a nest in the walls of my bathroom (somehow she was able to get in through an opening and crawl within the wall across the ceiling.) Unfortunately for the baby raccoons, they fell down within the wall so the mother couldn't reach them. Although the mother did try. I listened to what seemed like a war in my wall of a pissed off Momma Raccoon and dying babies. After calls into maintenance, I reached my breaking point when the mother raccoon punctured a hole through the wall trying to get her babies. I actually had to WALK over to the club house and sit down with the maintenance people to get them to come out... Even more unfortunately, I had to listen to baby raccoons DIE (literally) in my wall for TWO weeks until suddenly the noise stopped, but was replaced with a nose-burning odor of dead, hot baby raccoons.

I actually felt bad for the maintenance men who had to cut a hole through my wall to get them out, gagging on the smell. For the record, my clothing STILL smell like dead animal. I didn't know I had to beg to get LIVING ANIMALS out of my wall!

Just a couple of months later, I see a mouse out of the corner of my eye and went on to kill about 5 (not before they got into all my food and crapped everywhere...) Maintenance did take care of this more promptly. I am still stepping over mouse traps to this day.

Needless to say, this might not be the most common of occurrences at Saddle Creek. But after they raised my rent $30 after the year I had, I was out. Did I mention $200 heating bills for an 800 sq. ft. apartment''''

Nice management that I dealt with and the maintenance people I saw were usually friendly... but I had a less than stellar experience at Saddle Creek.

What a horrible experience for you - management should have taken the raccoon problem seriously, and taken action asap.
