My first apartment experience has been a nightmare. I would not recommned renting an apartment from the Springs or Springs II to my worst enemy. Here are my reasons:
1) The staff is unprofessional and disrespectful. They do not adhere to scheduled meetings and they have mastered the art of ignoring complaints. My husband scheduled a meeting 4 days in advance with Barbara, the site manager, to discuss the large amount of maintenance problems we have been having. She completely blew us off and did not show up. Johnnie was our leasing consultant. She lied to us and told us that the apartments are new when in reality, our building is 9 years old. She also lied to us and told us we could have a barbecue. When approached with the idea that we want to break our lease early, Johnnie laughed at us. The only person that is helpful is Denny, part of maintenance. He is the only one that has been honest to us.
2) The buildings are built cheap and the maintenance and administrative staff does not respond in a timely or respectful manner. The upstairs neighbors bathtub was not nailed down correctly, resulting in a cieling leak that flooded our bathroom. There was a blockage in the apartment building sanitary line that resulted in the flooding of half of our apartment. Due to the untimley manner in which the staff responded, we had to get carpet padding replaced and could not use that half of our apartment for 2 weeks due to the lack of carpet and the odor. Our drain in our laundry room over flows periodically causing floods in our kitchen. We have been told that this problem cannot be corrected because the apartment complex will have to rent a pipe snake. The washer was prone to overflowing and it took multiple visits by the maintenance staff to fix it.
Here is some advice: do not trust the staff, mainly Johnnie and Barbara, they are liars and cheats and if forced to lease from the Springs, make sure you recieve an early lease ending agreement in writing from the staff. You will need it!!

I have to disagree. I have been at the Springs for 7 months now, and while I have experienced some problems, (apt wasn't cleaned prior to my moving in, leaking washer, dryer doesn't dry unless you run your clothes for 3 full cycles which drastically raises your electric bill, can't get a parking spot if I am not home by 8pm, shoddy maintenance, bugs, bugs, bugs, crapy screen door, ect) but Johnny is such a sweet lady. Maybe there was some misunderstanding or something...
