Moving out is just something to behold at this facility. First of all you sign a lease agreement with a specific move out date, which is normal right' At the end of the lease, you have to give them 30 days notice that your lease is coming to an end (strange ha'', if you do not, you will pay an extra month's rent from the date you give the notice. On your move out date, you need to have scheduled a "walk through" inspection 48hrs prior or it will not happen, the you're at their mercy. When you move in, of course that walk through happens BEFORE you even move in. Every single thing is tilted in their favor at move out. They will keep your security deposit for an extra 30 days, even though they knew 30 days prior that you were moving out. When you move in of course you pay your security deposit BEFORE you even move in!! Howz that for a skewed playing field''

Overall, the place is OK, not great, they leave you alone. The walls are thin and you hear everything from the adjacent rooms and from above you. The fixings are cheap, reflecting obviously the rent levels.

It is not uncommon that you have to give your apartment complex a 30 day move-out notice because usually after your lease is up you are automatically put on month-to-month. Security deposit is usually due at the signing of your lease which is also very common at many complexes.

This is the most ridiculous complaint I've ever heard, they've obviously never rented before, in Michigan. All leases, regardless of the management company, require at least a 30 day notice to move out, even at the end of your lease term. Also, the rented location has to be completely empty and possession has to be returned to the landlord before damages can be assessed. MI law states that the landlord has 30-45 days to return any unused portion of your security deposit and must supply an itemized list of damages to the former tenant. Know the law before you ignorantly submit a complaint.
