...Its what u make of it!
Ive lived there for a little over 3yrs. and hadnt had too many unresolved issues. The building used to only house the elderly & physically/mentally challenged before they got relaxed on their move-in criteria & changed Mgt. (thats when i got in) but its still a decent place 2 live, nonetheless.Maintenance & office staff are both friendly & efficient.Even the mailman is cool! The pool is an awesome perk to have in the summer but the on-site gym has a fee, its high and in my opinion, quite unnecessary.Theres an internet cafe w/wi-fi and a community room also.Several small businesses occupy the building also. The elevators work 95% of the time and the building is relatively clean except for Sundays when cleaning crew is M.I.A & yes,the ethnic food smells in halls are strong but americas all about diversity, right! So all I can say to people who complain about that is, get out more!Yes,this is a Jewish community but im not. If you choose to associate with neighbors, their friendly, but be mindful of whom u associate with.Shopping, hospital, recreation, schools etc. are all near. The area is very spooky at night but Security is on-site in the evenings & The police are ALWAYS close by! The apts. are nice, definately not luxury but sufficient. Some have balconies though and honestly its only useful during the summer & on the 4th of july so if u dont have the cash, dont bother. They pay your gas and water, you pay electric & other utilities,so this is great if u live in the dark mostly anyway.DTE can suck eggs here! lol No pest problems except 4 an occassional knat. The building is old but well constructed and if they had an occassional leak management stayed on top of things. As far as rental is concerned,Mgt. does theyre best to work w/u and not against u & the rates are reasonable.I'd recommend these apts. to the oldtimers,1sttimers or anyone in between who stay away from drama and have decent credit! lol I enjoyed staying @ Lincoln Towers.

You must not have come through the lobby too often because almost half of the time, there is NO SECURITY. He hasn't been there a lot of weekends either, and when he's on vacation, there is NO ONE there to fill in for him. There is NO CLEANING CREW on SATURDAYS either except maybe 1 or 2 days out of the year. No security on Holidays either. It's the same deal as when I lived at Charter House (now called Providence Towers) at 9 mile and Greenfield. No cleaning service on weekends and little or no security. Must be owned by the same people! For the rent I paid at LT, I deserved more, but all they did was decorate a few things here and there. NO EFFORT was made to make the place safer or improve the cleanliness. It was weird leaving school at night where there more than adequate security, and coming home to a place with little or no security.
