If you have several roommates, rent is not too bad. However, the apartments are very old, thus the potential for problems. I've lived at Knob Hill for a year. We've had to have our tub and bathroom sink plunged a couple times. The garbage disposal breaks often. The windows aren't very air tight, and lots of bugs can get in. We also had mildew problems.
Unless it was on the weekend or a holiday, I had no problems getting matenance out to fix our problems though.
The neighbors were pretty quiet, and parking was never a problem, but lights often burnt out so the lot is pretty dark at night. Good location.
