Okemos Station

 

Overall this has been a nice place to live; it's a calm pretty community with a great location.

My repairs have been made quickly, although not always properly the first time around.

The staff seems nice enough.

However, there are several things one should be aware of before moving here.

First, the new management is sub-par in terms of honesty.

Second, the office is said to have hours of 9-6, which is rarely true; 10-11:30 and 2-5:30 is more like it.

Finally, there's the issue of noise.

The train doesn't bother me at all anymore; most times I don't even notice it.

The grounds keeping in the spring and summer, on the other hand, is RIDICULOUS! It's nice to have well-kept grounds, but it's literally every morning, beginning by 9 am and going well into the afternoon with the leaf blowers and weed trimmers and lawn mowers.

If there's a single leaf in the parking area, believe me, they're out there with a leaf blower chasing that thing off the property.

Noise generally doesn't bother me, but it's so excessive that it leaves me seriously considering yelling out the window.
