Wonderful place to live

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I have spent this past year living at Woodfield Apartments. The rent seemed a bit high for Paw Paw, but management ran a special for new leasees and allowed current residents to pay the lower rate (with an extended lease - one or two months). The floorplan is modern and does not make me feel boxed in. Also, these apartments have some of the largest bathrooms I have seen in apartments of similar size. There is ample closet space and I have more cupboards in the kitchen than I know what to do with. In addition, the setup within each building is very nice - a total of eight units, four upper and four lower - this means that each apartment has a quarter of the floor and there are windows facing in different directions, not just one.
The management team has been really good at selecting residents - I have not had any instances with items being stolen from my patio or rude behavior from neighbors. Each apartment seems to have solid soundproofing, as I rarely could hear my neighbors (almost everyone in my building has children except for me). The common areas (hallway, stairs, and laundry room) are cleaned regularly and PROPERLY. The office staff is very polite and helpful. The only maintenance requests I have made were for a falling A/C vent and a leak from my upstairs neighbor's A/C unit. Both times, maintenance was there the same day and corrected the problem promptly.
The apartments are cleaned and prepared professionally for each new tenant and it seemed like a newly renovated apartment when I moved in. The walls are textured, which eliminates the sterile feeling in most apartment buildings.
The entire complex is actually tucked away in a heavily wooded area near a lake, right behind a very nice subdivision neighborhood. Very quiet and secluded, yet very convenient for accessing major highways and byways.
Management provides mini-blinds in all windows. The plush carpeting is nice, but it would be better to have berber carpeting. Large kitchen, bathroom. Decent sized bedrooms (the smaller one is almost too small, but as an office, it works perfectly). This place would be even better with washers and dryers in each unit (that is only available in the handi-cap accessible units, I believe). Pet-friendly, too.
