I have lived here at Auburn Village for about 6 months. It has been a horrible time for my family and I. Currently my dishwasher, and water heater have both been broken for almost 2 months.
Some of the things we have problems with
- run down propery.
- There are gutters hanging off numerous building in numerous locations.
- Siding is falling off many buildings.
- They paint over everything. Counters, bath tub, everything. Once it starts to chip, everything looks like crap.
- dumpsters are always overflowing. I guess it's good for the homeless people who like to come in and dig through them.
- Staff is friendly enough, but you can't count on them for anything. They hardly ever answer the phone, don't bother leaving a message. They won't call you back.
- streets inside the complex are set up really horribly, and it can be dangerous.
- people are constantly driving WAY to fast, and squealing their tires. I would never feel comfortable letting my children play outside with out constant supervision.
- very loud people, especially in the summer. I have seen people on numerous occaision coming home drunk and urinating in the parking lot, or throwing beer bottles out of the windows of their cars.
- HIGH gas and water bills. There are no seperate gas or water meters. Our water bills are over $50, per month, and our last gas bill was $180. Even if you are a frugal person, it won't help you, since it is divided up amoungst the entire complex.
- A lot of drug activity goes on. I won't go into detail, but it's obvious. On a plus side, you get to witness a real life cops episode every weekend, when they come to raid the home of one of your neighbors.
We are couting the days until our lease is up, and we can get out of here. We can't wait to find a safe, clean, and happy place to call home.
