We have not had any serious problems in our residency here. We will be moving in February in order to find a larger apartment. We had only one minor maintenance problem.. a backed up garbage disposal which a maintenance person came to fix within 30 minutes of our 12am call. There is also a gate on both entrances to the complex which go down at 9 pm every evening. From time to time people drive through the gate and tear it off however Village Park has been very good about repairing the gate each time- I'm amazed how quickly they replace the gates. Very efficient service.

The amenities are great- outdoor pool, 24 hour workout room, billards table, fax and internet services available free during clubhouse hours, you can rent the beautiful clubhouse, racquetball court, sand volleyball court, etc. The complex as a whole is very well maintained.. definitely feel safe walking around at night. You have a short walk to the 7-11 and grocery store across the street.

We live in a 3rd floor apartment and have had no problems with noise, however I know that our lower neighbor complained from time to time about our regular moving about the house. It is a quick drive to I-75 and M-59 as well as Oakland University and Daimler Chrysler.. it is really very centrally located to many wonderful shopping centers.

The leasing agents really push to make a sale the day you come in so you can usually get them to throw in a carport for free and/or a storage unit. The laundry is the in the basement of each building and it is $1.00 to wash and $1.00 to dry.

If you like to talk about the place you live, they can pay pretty handsomly for resident referrals.

There is a large hispanic community here, a smaller ------- american community and an equally small anglo-saxon community. There seem to be quite a few famillies that live here and have spouses that don't work during the day- so it may be a bit louder than a corporate community, however there are about 10 kids that get picked up from the bus-stop in the morning and I'm sure they play together.

As I said, we have had no problems and were offered a great deal to stay as residents, we are just looking for something that has more space. In spite of our space issues, all of our friends have commented on how spacious and nice our apartment is.
