My wife and I have been here about a year and are expecting our first child this fall. I definitely do not have any qualms about starting our family here at Village Park. We have a decent size two bedroom two bath that has everything we could want except an in-unit washer/dryer. However, there is a washer/dryer just down the stairs in the same building so its literally a 15 second walk.

This place is so convenient to Oakland University where I am finishing up my Master's degree. There is tons of stuff in the area (restaurants, malls, golf courses) so you won't run out of places to go.

The Fitness Center is awesome! The pool and racquetball court are also great.

Maintenance is decent and takes maybe a day to respond to normal issues.

My rent is definitely reasonable. In Chicago you would maybe get a nasty one room apartment in a bad area for the same price you pay here (for a very nice two bedroom apartment in a nice area). I just wish that when I am done with school I could take my apartment (and rent check that I write every month) with me back to Chicago.
