I hate it.

I've lived here for about 9 months and I must say when looked at the model apartment and we saw the clubhouse and met with john, we absolutely loved the place! John was great with helping us get a good price and was VERY VERY helpful as there were 4 of us moving in and corresponding with him at the same time. I will admit, when I moved in I was little disappointed at the quality of the carpeting/tile which is coming up in several places and molding which is chipped in multiple places. Also the living room and master bedroom have no light fixtures. It gets a bit chilly sometimes in the winter as well because the screens in almost every window are broken. Luckily we have free heat so it's fixable by cranking it up a little. This also gets bad in the summer, because we never want to open the windows with the bees and birds trying to break in. Overall, though, for college students at least, this is a good first apartment. It's a good deal for what you're getting. Most of the time parking is pretty decent, but there's been a few times when I've had to park in the next lot or two over which scares me a little sometimes having to walk so far alone at nighttime. The maintenance used to be slow getting things done, but now since we have new management, it seems much more prompt. The main thing that does bother me is our new neighbors who smoke weed almost every night and I can smell it all the way in my bedroom. I have called the office several times to complain [I know it's not their fault, but they're the only ones who can really do something about it], and they have sent out letters to the entire building [although they know the exact apt] several times, but it still continues. I had been considering renewing my lease in a couple months, but these neighbors alone have pushed me to find a new place. Other than these neighbors, we haven't had any problems. All the other ones are very calm and nice. I don't recall which one, but one of the property managers was very condescending. We were given a noise violation for a party that our neighbors were having and the man called and spoke as if we were some low life kids. I, however, take much responsibility in getting my rent in on time and communicating things with the office. When I went to complain for the wrongful violation, they said they would get back to us and did remove it as far as I know, but never called back as they had said. Recently we've had some new neighbors move in who sell drugs out of their apartment. I've complained several times and they said something would be done, but it hasn't. I don't even feel safe here anymore.
