I've been at Pines West for almost a year, and so far I've had no problems with management or maintenence. The walls are a little thin, but the community is generally a quiet one. Two large bedrooms (especially in comparison to other Portage/Kalamazoo apartments) for an inexpensive price.

Only complaint is in the winter, the walks and parking lots are very icy. And there are blind corners already in there, they get worse as the snow plows pile up the snow.
