We stayed here for a short lease because we needed a few months, which we paid extra for. No problem there. We should have known there was something wrong with this place because the paper work and management took a week or so to get done; but what the heck, we needed a place quick for a few months and this is the only place that was willing to let us sign a three months lease. We know why now ... because it is a dirty, noisy place that will rip you off if you trust the management. A huge mistake. When a month and a half before the lease expires, we went to the office and told them that we will stay until 15 days after the lease expired. We discussed with them that will be the move out date. Management calculated the rent for those days and we paid. Before leaving, we asked if there was anything else we should do because we told them the move out date. "no, you're all set." replied the office. "alright" was what we thought. Four months later, we received a collection letter owing atleast $500 on top of the deposit money. Disputed with the office and they said that "I worked at this job for six years and I always told residents to put the intent of moving out in writing atleast 30 days." Well, we are sure that she didn't tell us when we came to the office to pay our last rent. They won't tell you because they can squeeze the last juice of your money and more. So, learn from this and you guys should always put everything in writing, have management put what they say in writing, If you don't, they will capitalize on it and squeeze the money out of you. Better yet, DON'T live AT TIMBERWOOD CROSSING (formerly Villas of Southland). Maybe someday have a new name "Dirty, noisy Villas of rip offs" (formerly Timberwood Crossing, formerly Villas of Southland). Thank god we only stay here shortly.
