I really like living here. It is situated only a block or two away from Portage Northern High School and the post office. The mall and movie theater are also only a few blocks away, as well as numerous restaurants, dentists, doctors, etc. As another reviewer mentioned, you also get a free gym membership to the Family Fitness center next door for as long as you live in the complex! The only fee is $10 for a membership card (as of summer 2007). There is also a well-kept pool for use by residents and up to 2 guests.

I live on the bottom floor, but I almost never hear my neighbors unless I'm in the bathroom while they are showering. Being on the ground floor also means that you are apt to hear lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc. during the summer but the grounds are well taken care of.

The staff is very friendly. The employees in the office are very helpful with answering any questions. The maintenance staff has one employee who doesn't seem to know what he's doing, but others are very efficient and quick to respond to complaints. We had to have our air conditioner "fixed" about 4 times before it finally worked properly, however every other repair (toilets, showers, sinks) have been taken care of within a half hour of calling the office.

You have the option of renting a covered space for about $20/mo. You also have to register your vehicles with the office. This helps cut down on guests just leaving vehicles parked in the lot for days on end. When I have company over, they are always able to find a spot very close to the building.
