Good location, but that's about it...

This was my first apartment, without roommates.

The location is good, close to Westnedge and a short drive to downtown and campus, but the rent is rather high and they offer very few services.

The application process was hell too.

Unless you like waiting around and being unsure of if you are going to be able to move in or even get an apartment, this is not the place for you.

Walnut Trail is a great place to live. With the pool in the summer time and the six mile walking trail, summer is the best. The office staff is curdious and the maitenance is awesome! I love living here. Its close to everything and everyone is very friendly

I CAN'T BLAME YOU FOR REMAINING ANONYMOUS. IF I WAS TOO LAZY TO CHECK MY SPELLING FOR WORDS LIKE "COURTEOUS", AND MAINTENANCE", I'D WANT TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS AS WELL. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT YOUR COMMENT COULD BE FROM SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY PAYS THE RENT. WALNUT TRAIL WAS MY FIRST APARTMENT WHEN I MOVED TO THE AREA BACK IN 1999. I LEFT AFTER ONLY 9 MONTHS, AND THE EARLY-LEASE TERMINATION FEE I WAS CHARGED WAS THE BEST INVESTMENT I COULD HAVE MADE. YOU'VE FAILED TO MENTION THE THIN WALLS AND FLOORS, THE LATE-NIGHT TRAIN WHISTLE THAT BLARES FOR MILES BEFORE AND AFTER PASSING THE COMPLEX, THE PLANES TRAVELING TO AND FROM THE NEARBY AIRPORT (NEITHER OF WHICH I WAS INFORMED ABOUT WHEN I SIGNED THE LEASE); THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE TO SHOVEL YOURSELF OUT OF YOUR PARKING SPOT AFTER THE LOT IS PLOWED, THE EXTREMELY LOUD FURNACE IN THE WINTER (IN THE LARGER ONE-BEDROOMS), THE AIR CONDITIONER THAT DOESN'T ACTUALLY COOL THE APARTMENT IN THE SUMMER, THAT SECURITY-CHALLENGED AND TOTALLY USELESS EXTRA DOOR IN THE KITCHEN. ALSO, THE FACT THAT YOU MAY HAVE TO GO TO THE ADJACENT BUILDING TO DO YOUR LAUNDRY, ONLY TO FIND THAT SOMEONE HAS LEFT THEIR LAUNDRY IN THE MACHINES, UNATTENDED. HOW COULD YOU LIVE HERE AND NOT NOTICE ANY OF THESE THINGS? OR MAYBE YOU'RE TOO BUSY WALKING THE TRAILS AND SITTING BY THE POOL AND TRAVELING TO AND FROM ALL OF THE NEARBY ATTRACTIONS, STORES AND VENUES. IF YOU'RE SO HAPPY WITH YOUR APARTMENT, WHY DON'T YOU SPEND MORE TIME IN IT? JUST SAYING.
