Going...Going...Down Real FAST!

Years at this apartment: 2002-01-01 - 2004-01-01
When I moved in back in 2002, it was nice. The maintenace staff was prompt to make repairs and the apartment community was generally mixed - young families, senior citizens, etc. It added a certain "balance" to the community and made living there an enjoyable experience!
Now:
1. It takes the maintenance staff 5 times as long to make repairs.
2. The manager of the complex is not people oriented at all - we've dubbed her "Sour C" (LOL).
3. The quality of people living there has changed - and not for the better.
4. Some residents speed through the complex with no regards for the children that are out playing.
5. Sometimes there is loud car music at night.
6. The "stable", more community oriented people are moving out.
7. The apartments are not insulated - if you live on the opposite end of the boiler, your apartment will not heat above 70 degrees during the winter when the temperature is in the single digits.
8. The cabinetry is 1970ish particle board and needs to be replaced.
9. The front door doesn't fully close - you have to pull it shut.
10. Sometimes the entrance door doesnęt lock.
11. After installing a new intercom/buzzer system, the wires were crossed and the maintenance staff solution - switch the residents name tags around.
12. Complaints to the resident manager seem to fall on deaf ears.
I could go on-and-on, but I am just glad to get out of there!
