There's only two good things about living in any of the apartments Amber owns in the Troy/Clawson/Royal Oak area: 1) they do allow pets (currently without size restrictions either) and 2) they're located in areas that are close to many places of business so your work drive time isn't that extensive. That's it. The place I live in now is the poorest excuse for an apartment I have ever seen, and that's saying a lot. As one previous person who posted a review here said, everything is OLD, OLD, OLD appliance-wise. The place is falling apart. They don't keep the apartments up AT ALL. If you're lucky enough to get one of their maintenance staff to come out to fix something (best of luck to you on that), it'll only ever be a quick fix "band aid" approach. I've had maintenance related problems I've been trying to get fixed for going on three years now. I realized quite awhile ago it was never going to happen so I've pretty much given up. The monthly rent rates are ridiculously high, especially when you consider the hole you're going to be moving into. Beware of lots of noisy and inconsiderate neighbors, since that seems to be the norm here. Many of them don't apparently care that their neighbors don't want to listen to their stupid surround sound TVs/stereos blasting at all hours of the day, or that many of their neighbors would rather not listen to them noisily moving their stuff out of their apartment at 11:30 p.m. at night. You may also be overjoyed to know that many of them don't bother to act as responsible pet owners and pick up after their dogs. Word to the wise - don't walk through the grass for any reason, or you'll be left with a mess to clean up on the bottom of your shoes. Oh, and you should also know that management does not care about your problems, whether they're related to maintenance problems or noisy neighbors. Be advised that they will be YOUR problems to deal with, and if you can't live with them, you'll need to find another place to live.
