I have read alot of these complaints posted and I dont necessarily agree. As far as the appliances and leaky faucets and such, youre renting an apartment in old apartment complexes. What do you expect'' They're not broken and if they are you are allowed to go through the entire apartment before you rent and list the things that are wrong and that you want fixed. So, they are willing to work with you.
As far as the maintenance, Each time I called with a service request, they responded immediately. Sometimes even on that day. So, I dont understand those complaints.
The apartments themselves are quaint and clean. And also are quite good for the amount of money you are paying. Not too mention, it includes heat, gas, and water!! thats a deal in my book. If you want remodeled and renovated apartments, with new appliances and kitchen sinks, then don't choose Amber. But, if you like hard wood floors and fireplaces in a quiet community. And, if you don't mind less than new appliances, then you can live with it. I really enjoyed my stay there. Im sorry the other residents didn't enjoy it as much as I did.

I think that's where you're wrong. I went through the entire apartment before I rented and was assured that these problems would be fixed. Some of these problems are beyond ridiculous. At least 4 mailbox locks are broken in our complex. One would think this would get fixed right away. People are getting their mail stolen or misplaced and our mailman has complained to management. Nothing has been done.
Almost 800 dollars for a one bedroom apartment isn't worth it if they apartment isn't kept up to decent standards. Management promising quick, efficient maintenance doesn't mean anything if they don't follow through. You're right about one thing. If you want a quality apartment, don't choose Amber.
