Livable, but not pleasant

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
 
The apartment itself is ok. The carpeting was newer, but the walls and cabinets had at least 5 layers of paint. The heating was outdated and the apartment reaked of smoke from the neighbors. There was only one washer and dryer for the building. The garbage dumpster is 1/2 block from the apartment, so I throw my garbage in the car and drive to it!. The front door has been broken for over a year!
