So so...nothing great but the location

I lived in Woodland Gardens for about 18 months and, like many others, have mixed feelings about the place.
On the positive side: The office and maintenance staff was very nice and most of my service requests were taken care off; the community manager is terrific; easy to break lease; convenient to I-75 (about three miles east on 14 mile); finding a parking spot is not really an issue; and the grounds are very nice.
On the negative: no covered parking, which in Michigan winter can be a huge issue; the apartments are showing their age; they are small (my two bedroom was about 800 sq. ft.); and neighborhood is pretty loud and smelly because of neighbors? cooking.
Overall: I think you can get some good vale in Troy, Southfield and even Birmingham but if you want to live in Royal Oak and close to shopping and I-75 and this may be ok.
